Journey with me to PEI, Part II

Here's part two of our PEI vacation...

Friday we took the Points East Coastal Drive with our main stop being Greenwich Dunes in PEI National Park...it was beautiful.  We walked the Greenwich Dunes trail, a 4.8 km hike, through farm fields, woodlands and then an amazing floating boardwalk and then up the dunes to be greeted with a beautiful view of the ocean.  The beach was beautiful with hardly a soul in sight.  We walked the beach for a while enjoying the sound of the waves hitting the shore and looking for shells.

968. Greenwich Dunes, amazing walk, gorgeous landscapes and seascapes

Jocelyne doing her power walk, it's hard to keep up with her.

The boardwalk was amazing.

Toe dipping in the ocean...it was kinda cold.

There were these random chairs just sitting at the top of this sand dune, the view was beautiful on this side too, it overlooked the whole boardwalk.

Jump shots on the beach, Matt looks likes he's standing in midair.

The clouds were amazingly beautiful...I love cloud filled skies...it adds character to an empty sky.

This home is 13, 500 sq feet, the most expensive home on the real-estate market in Atlantic Canada.

Took a red dirt road and found another beach along the way.

Saturday was a our last full day in PEI.  The weather wasn't supposed to be the greatest, they were calling for rain and thunderstorms.  We woke up to rain but the weather cleared later in the morning and it turned out to be a gorgeous day.  We took a drive to Brackley Beach, another gorgeous spot. We walked the beach for a couple hours, it was beautiful with the sound of the water lapping the shore.

977.  Chatting with a little boy, a child's innocence :)

On our way back to the parking lot I stopped at the washroom, there was a mom and her two small children in the washroom too.  As I was leaving the little boy asks me, "What's your name?"  I tell him "Tina."  He goes on to say, "Tina...I love you Tina."  I smiled at him and his mom and said, "Thank you, you have a fun day at the beach."  I felt blessed by that little guy...out of the mouths of babes.  God can use anyone to show you His love.

Sunday morning we left bright and early for home...another 16 hour drive...but it was worth it.  We had a great time in PEI.
